Have You Heard? Windstorm In Gambia Kills 10?

Have you heard? The residents of Marakissa woke up and realized that business is no more as usual as the windstorm levelled houses which lead to at least one death. It destroyed roofs and this brought about huge devastation this this community. The storm was so strong that it had to remove sheet-metals which protected these houses in this community. The consequences were huge as these residents are still living without electricity, and due to the windstorm. It is believed that more than 2,000 people have been affected by the storm nation wide according to government sources. According to Sanna Dahaba head of the Natural Disaster Management said that this windstorm has brought a “big loss to the country” and that the government is doing all they could to help these affected citizens in any way possible and he asked for the general public to help. On the part of the President Adama Barrow after holding an emergency meeting he too was willing to help people who have been affected the most. Let’s continue to pray for this community and the people who have been affected by the windstorm.
