New Scent Centre International

Just as the year begun on a high note for us at the centre, everything seems to be going so. We are grateful for the time God has kept all the children safe, for His provision and care through you, and for His direction every day. The number of children remains at fifty four (54). They have all been in school, and from tomorrow schools close for a lengthy holiday of about seven (7) weeks for most of them while others will resume in July. By the end of this week, it will be full house again. This comes with its joys, challenges and more so the fun of watching them grow. So far we thank God fro good health for everyone despite a few ups and downs, but God has been faithful this far. This group of young ones awaits their national exams coming week, but with preparations happening on Friday the 19th of March. On the left is the entire class while on the right is the candidates from the New Scent Centre. From July, God willing, we will have three more girls joining the ten (10) in High School. Please pray for them as they sit for the exams – for good health, calm, and that they will get grades that will make it easy to get good high schools for each of them to join in due time. Joining high school means additional school fees for all of them despite the initial cost of preparing them. Please pray that God will grant them their dreams of joining high school and acquiring education and all the empowerment that will come with it.

When the kids close school, we are organizing a Vacation Bible School (VBS), continue the computer studies, keyboard and drumset training. The week for the VBS is the 19^th -24^th of April, 2021. This VBS is more of an outreach to children and youths in the community. We target one hundred and fifty (150) children with the gospel. This is necessitated by the fact that many kids around us have not been sent to the has crept into Kenya, and I know several acquaintances who have church nor the scriptures. We hope to feed them spiritually and physically for the entire week as God enables. We will give them breakfast and lunch. We will have different teachers for each class. For this week to be successful I have put together a budget of $2,000. You’re welcome to pray and support us as God leads and enables you.

Keep us in your prays as we pray for you. Curfews continue because of the Covid-19 pandemic. A third wave of the same has creeped into Kenya, and I know several of acquintances who haveschool, come been sick – some have gotten well and some have passed on to glory. As the girls who have been in boarding has crept into Kenya, and I know several acquaintances who have school, comes home this week and I am praying that none of them will have it and hence put the rest at risk of infection.

Thank you, for praying for a generator for backup, the Lord provided.

We’re still trusting God for the completion of the perimeter wall, and for our income generation project to take off besides other needs.

All the children being home come with extra needs, pray that God sends His ravens to feed His children.

Pray for peace and good relationship between the volunteers and the children. I need His wisdom, strength and discernment as I serve Him through the children. I trust God for administrative costs as I do His work.

We love you and pray for you that God keeps you safe and healthy for His own glory.
